We’ll talk about new, exciting, & great strains that are gracing the market.

Whether it’s a celebrity endorsement or a real Frankenstein we’ll cultivate the best of the bunch and grind them up ready for your consumption: Blaze the Lord(!).

Every strain has heritage and the traits that get passed down from Kush to Bush get mixed up into something new. This cross-pollination of ideas and familial features gives birth to some of the most interesting strains and today we start with, drum roll please...

Royal Gorilla

Now with THC levels in excess of 25% this strain definitely packs a punch with its kong-fu. But, because of that strength, it’s actually very popular as a medicinal smoke. Finely balanced with a 50/50 blend of Indica and Sativa this great tasting silverback has a star studded history with wins in both the Cannabis Cup and the World Cannabis Cup.

So to sum up, this beast can knock you for six, has pedigree oozing from its pours, and tastes good to boot.

In the words of Richard Madeley: “*Exhales* That’s harsh.”

Iverson 96

Ok, let’s just start by saying that’s a cool ass name. Iverson ‘96. Ooof. But with a name like that comes some hype to live up to. Thankfully, Viola’s latest strain pairs Grape Stomper and Kush Mints to live up to the icon that is Allen Iverson and the year he was drafted.

Viola have made a name for themselves as a black-owned leader in the cannabis space. Pairing the CEO vision of Al Harrington, himself an ex-NBA pro, with Iverson in a multi-year deal which shows how much buy in there is right now in the pot world.

Rainbow Sherbet

No question, Blackberry and Champagne are some pretty special strains. Well they had a baby. Rainbow Sherbet takes an Indica dominant strain and pairs it with a Sativa dominant strain to create something vibrant, bold and sweet - it sounds just as good as it smokes.

Fans of the flavoursome strain have commented on its uplifting and creative feel post puff. Best used after the working day is done this hybrid gem boasts decent yields and a lineage you’ll be hard pressed to beat.

Deep Candy

We’ve covered a few big hitters when it comes to THC content. But this CBD rich, sweet seductress doesn’t want to lay you on your back but instead calm you after a long day. This medium sized bud is almost devoid of THC but in its place holds dark, delicious flavours which are just ready to wind you down.

Not every smoke needs to blow your socks off, in fact it's actually great to see high quality strains developed in the CBD space. Not trying to be a super powerful skunk, this mistress soothes where others slap.

Any other neo-strains worthy of some recog? Answers below please, thermidorks.
