Much maligned are we cannabis consumers – we’re just a bunch of lazy stoners in the more pernicious corners of public opinion. But new research touting the exact opposite could stem the tide of teasing and torment. At f*cking last.
As more boozy brands dip their toes into the cannabis space, speculation persists that THC-totallers (is that a thing? It should be) will supplant beer for bud-infused beverages. That, it transpires, just ain’t the case at all. Uh-uh.
Could we be witnessing a cannabis renaissance in the Far East? Certainly not in China (not yet, at least). But Japan, however, is waking up to a great green go-ahead as the CBD market continues to flourish.
The US state of Utah – better known for its strict stance on alcohol – has recorded it’s home to no less than 83,000 medical cannabis patients: out of a population of 3.2 million.
Now, considering the UK has about half that number of patients, and around 20 times the population… well, you do the math.
And the ‘Least Surprising News This Week’ award goes to a study of America’s top cannabis-consuming cities. See if you can guess who tops the charts.
(Spoiler: They ain’t in Wisconsin).
