WOOT! WOOT! SPRING AHOY (kinda)!!
It certainly feels like change is in the air as we venture into the green and pleasant time of year – with all of its chocolate eggs, lamb dinners, and bunny ears. And with conference season kicking off in April with The Cannabis Summit and InternationalCBCBerlin, no doubt all eyes will be on Germany and its neighbours as rec legalisation takes root in Europe!
Germany’s stance on cannabis is certainly getting some mainstream media attention. But how is it faring elsewhere? How could the UK stand to benefit if we went down a similar path here? This insightful piece from The Guardian speculates on the topic.
Ooh err. So we all know cannabis x banking is a thorny area to navigate. But when a renowned payment provider like Stripe put the kibosh on those writing about the plant – while allowing those selling weed paraphernalia full access – questions start being asked.
One of the biggest stumbling blocks for the canna-curious is the ‘fear’ that many experience while under the influence. But apparently, according to a new study, the citrusy-notes from our zesty terpene friend, Limonene, play a big part in reducing anxiety.
One of South Africa’s best known rappers was refused service in a Johannesburg restaurant after complaints he ‘smelled of weed’. Emtee, along with buddies Uncle Vinny and Yungseruno were turned away from a branch of Mike’s Kitchen when the seating server kicked up a stink over the scent of cannabis and the trio’s ‘tattoos’.
Getting super stoned and bench pressing 100kg isn’t advisable. But more and more people are incorporating cannabis into their workout routines – and feeling the benefit as a result.
Motors are revving at iconic motorcycle brand, Harley-Davidson, as the all-new S2 Mulholland EV bike takes to the open road. But the most unique thing about this motorbike? Many of its panels are made from hemp biocomposites – among other sustainable materials.
