Well, well, well, look what we have here. That’s right, another week, another lobsterpot, and another fresh dose of all the cannabis industry news you could ever hope for.
While Europe has struggled under the weight of constant high temperatures, ol’ Blighty has barely seen a glimpse of that scorching fireball in the sky. What we’re really hoping is that we're not all going to be wearing waders at Product Earth in a couple weeks' time.
Will we see you there? Surely the weather can't put you off?!

Maryland absolutely hit it out the park for its first month as a fully rec state. Cannabis consumers (much respect to y’all) casually splashed out a cool $87.43 million, which is nearly $2.8 million a day. Can smell the tax dollars from here(!).
How could we not include a story about a joint rolling robot? Exactly, there’s literally no way to skip this one. The boffins at Delic Labs in Vancouver might just have unlocked the secrets to a perfect joint roll. They also have a ‘smoking’ robot. Gotta’ love tech.
Another Brick In The Wall Hemp is coming. Seriously, get out of its way, it’s going to be a big time building block (pun of course intended) in creating more sustainable construction. Hempcrete is actually carbon negative which is quite ridiculous.
Right now it’s just a possibility, but the Canadian federal government might actually face legal consequences for failing to enable researchers to investigate the potential health issues that cannabis smokers face. Ruh-roh.
A study published in the Canadian Journal of Public Health has found that non-workplace cannabis use doesn’t contribute to the risk of injury at work. That’s real cool. However, it did find that use at work increased risk by nearly 100%. Time and a place people, time and a place.
That tricky 2018 Farm Bill is stall causing commotion, and while it’s really helped people find very clever loop holes and some cannabinoids we wouldn’t have heard of otherwise, it continues to create sticky situations such as a recent study finding that 75% of hemp delta-9 THC products can’t legally be sold as hemp in states such as Colorado and Massachusetts.
